A Commerce Township man has launched a drone photography/cinematography business. Midrone Aerial Photo, Video and Cinematography officially announced they were open for business late last week.

“This is a very exciting and challenging new field of business service,” owner, pilot and producer Bill Adams said. “We’re operating under the Federal Aviation Administration’s Code of Operations ... for small commercial drones.

The uses for drones are just being discovered as the technology has become more available to civilians and not just military operations. Our business is focused on helping people see the beauty in their world from a complete new perspective … Drone photography and cinematography/ videography provides a completely unique viewing platform.”

According to Adams, services are tailored to the client’s needs. The company’s focus will be on videography, cinematography, photography and land site survey. Midrone also offers still shots and even original written/recorded music with a professional singer/songwriter to add to the offerings.

“The possibilities are endless! We’re shooting weddings, commercial real estate, residential real estate, events, action sports, business spotlights, sporting events, land site development and more,” Adams said. “The sky is the limit for our future. We’ll be adding more drones and perhaps groundbased cameras … Our focus will be on the sky though, and bringing out the beauty of our world through the unique perspective that only a drone camera can bring.”
